| Special Offering for Easter | Many of you like to make a special, additional offering at Easter. This year we decided not to incur the additional cost of mailing an Easter offering letter and envelope, but your special gifts are of course welcome! To make a special gift, just place it in the offering plate and mark it "Easter offering."
We are thankful for your generous support of this annual cause. |

Sanctify @ The Cup
| |

"Sanctify", a Christian rock band created by some of our New Hope youth, will be playing during The Cup of Joy's Open Mic night on Saturday, April 23rd at 7:00 p.m. Grab your friends and bring them to this free event and support our musicians. You'll have a great time rockin' out to their original pieces and listening to some great talent.
We hope to have them perform at New Hope on a Friday night in the future!

May's Upcoming Monthly Mission -
"Change the World" Work/Clean Up Day
| Making A Difference In Our Community...One Month At A Time
"Change the World" is a world wide effort by the United Methodist Church to get Methodists together, working in the community to make a difference. Our May Mission is to be part of a much greater effort to help our world, and it is a powerful witness to the UMC teamwork in Green Bay. Last year, about 100 people from all the UMC churches in the Green Bay area gathered to help clean up and prepare Heritage Hill for summer visitors. This year's event is planned for Saturday, May 14th. We will work from 9:00 to 11:30 and will finish with lunch at the park. New Hope needs to provide potato salad for about 100 people and we are looking for a volunteer to prepare it ahead of time. Contact Karen Zarembka at 366-5427 or sign up on the back table if you are able to work.

Volunteer Custodian(s) Needed
| Can you help keep us sparkling clean?
We are in need of volunteers to help keep our building sparkling! Jennifer Selissen, who has done a wonderful job and volunteered her time weekly for over a year, is no longer available to help us with this important task and we must find a volunteer(s) to take her place. Whether you are available to help every week or only occasionally - we need you!
We are looking for someone to sweep and mop the floor, clean the bathrooms, vacuum the carpet, wash windows, empty garbage cans and perhaps other small chores. If you can help in this important way, please let us know by email or by calling the church office at 964-0143.

Scrip Help Needed Wednesday & Sunday Mornings
| |
We are in need of help on Sundays and Wednesdays with our Scrip program.
SUNDAYS - We need a number of people to help out on Sunday mornings handing out previous orders and Scrip to go, and accepting new orders. We are plan to set up a schedule for the volunteers to help once every month or two on a regular basis.
WEDNESDAYS - Starting the end of May or first of June, we need someone to pick up the Scrip orders from St. John church in Howard between 9 and -11 a.m. and then sort them for distribution before Friday noon. This position also will fax or call the order in on Mondays between 6 am and noon.
Please let us know by email or by calling the church office at 964-0143 if you are able to help.
Our Scrip program is an ongoing fundraiser to support our programs and ministries here at New Hope. Through Scrip, we have raised over $1500 so far!

| The Prayer Corner | |
Following our time of prayer reflection and sharing during Lent, we have had a wonderful suggestion for a "prayer corner". It's a place to sit quietly out of the hustle and bustle of activity here at New Hope and a place where individuals can meditate and lift up prayers in solitude at times other than worship. It's located in the southwest corner of the Celebration Center tucked behind the trees. Check it out!
Prayer does not change God, but changes the one who prays.
The function of prayer is not to influence God, but rather to
change the nature of the one who prays. -Soren Keirkegaard.
