IT'S GREEN AND GOLD SUNDAY!  Wear your green and gold!

February 10, 2011
New Hope Logo

Hello

In case you haven't heard.... we won the Super Bowl!  To celebrate, let's wear our green and gold to church this Sunday!  Pastor Greg said he doesn't own many green and gold clothes, but he has a couple Packer ties and he'll wear one to commemorate the big win.  It's fun to experience all the excitement of an event like this that bonds a community together.  Someone was telling me this week that a store clerk had been grouchy with her, and I said, "Doesn't she know that we won the Super Bowl?!"  Jeepers.

Wouldn't it be something if everyone was as excited about coming to church as they are about going the big game?  Just imagine it,  "Did you hear?  I got tickets to the church service!  Yup.  The 9:00 service.  I can't wait!  I'm going to take my family and we're so excited we're going to cheer and sing praises to God.  It's the coolest thing.  And we already know that we win!  Jesus died for us and it doesn't get any better than that."

Remember to wear your green and gold!   I look forward to seeing you Sunday.

And don't worry, I'll save you a seat.  (It's in section 105, row 55, seat 11.)
