Greetings!

What an amazingly beautiful, Ferris Bueller's week this has been!  Blue skies, white puffy clouds, warm days and cool nights, colorful and crunchy leaves - what a joy it is.  So many times we don't stop and appreciate what we have until it's not available to us.  My daughter, Kari, who is in Honduras is homesick for fall and has asked us to "crunch through the leaves" for her.  So Saturday afternoon take a little stroll, crunch some leaves for Kari, bring your "busy-ness" to a halt for a couple minutes and enjoy Fall.  Breathe deep, stretch, soak it all in.  Then bring that feeling with you on Sunday to share with the rest of us as we worship together.  Joy multiplies!

See you Sunday - I'll save you a seat!

Trick or Treat at New Hope
October 30th  10 a.m. - noon

Bring your little ghosts and goblins trick or treating and make sure to stop by the church between 10 and noon on Saturday, October 30th.   New Hope is participating in the De Pere Chamber's annual event and children who stop in will have the opportunity to play a game, win a prize and get their picture taken.  The Chamber is sponsoring a list of participating businesses, including New Hope, so what a great opportunity for the community to come in and check us out.  If you're interested in helping with this fun afternoon event contact Jen Engel via email jenengel24@sbcglobal.net.

Connecting Couples
Topic for October... Life!
Are You and Your Relationships Aligned With Your Values?
4:30 on October 17th at New Hope

Connecting Couples will have a dynamic meeting with Life Coach, Toni Loch, as she leads the group through exercises that will help in aligning themselves and their relationships with their values. One of the basics in personal coaching is to identify values, see how we are living them, determining what it would look like if we are living our values and develop plans that honor our values. In our busy lives we often run in all the different directions that life demands and this will be an opportunity to reflect and renew. Sign up here or on the refreshment table.

Joanne Angeli and Anthony Kosidowski are organizing the Connecting Couples events and would like your input for future ideas.  Please take a minute and take the survey to let them know what you think.  (It will take you approximately 2-3 minutes to complete.)
Scrip Is Coming!  But...What IS Scrip?
Watch for it to launch in October

Scrip is "no-selling" fundraising that allows New Hope to raise money based on your everyday purchases.  Scrip is a term that means "substitute money" and when you purchase scrip through New Hope, you're purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, gas and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for our church.

The church buys the scrip at a discount, and re-sells the certificates to families like yours for full face value.  The discount - from two to fifteen percent or more -  is our organization's revenue which we will use to support programs and ministry right here at New Hope. This is a GREAT way for you to support our church!  Watch for details as the program launches later this month.
Additional Dates for Pictures
