Greetings!

Wow!  Memorial Day weekend felt like it was the 4th of July -  crazy wonderful Wisconsin!  I had a fun graduation celebration out of town on Saturday and then Sunday morning the Praise Team was really rocking this place!  They sounded terrific and Pastor Greg's message was right on the money as it was just what I needed to hear.  I find it amazing how he does that all the time - his sermons are always right on the mark and something that really hits home for me.

Great music for worship and a message that never ceases to make me think and to challenge me to be a better person.  That's what keeps me coming back week after week!

See you in church, I'll save you a seat!
Patti

BTW - I've heard lots of good comments on the Come As You Are Bible Study and their study of Revelations.  (And it's not too late to join them.)
Mission & Caring Team To Meet Sunday

The Mission & Caring Team will hold a brainstorming meeting this Sunday, June 5th, following our first worship service at 10:10 a.m. in room 105.  All who are interested in being a part of this outreach are welcome to attend. We'll brainstorm ideas to reach out on a local and national level.

If you have ideas, but are unable to attend, please contact Karen Zarembka or Patti Bacher.
2030's Meet At Farmer's Market
The season starts Wednesday, June 9th

Calling all young adults!  Meet us at the entrance of Titletown Brewing at 6:30 on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month to walk the Farmer's Market on Broadway Street in Green Bay.  We'll  "oogle" the seasonal fare of vegetable and fruit goodness, check out the crafts of local artisans and perhaps share a bite to eat.
Bellin Team Your Race Packets Are Here!
The New Hope Team is 20 strong!

Hello Team New Hope!  Your registration packets, race bibs and t-shirts are here and waiting for you to pick them up at church on Sunday, June 6th.

We will be taking a team photo on the morning of the race.  Please be at the corner of S. Roosevelt and Porlier (northeast corner of Astor Park) at 7:15 AM for the photo.  That should give everyone plenty of time after the photo to warm up and get into their wave assignments prior to the start at 8.

Not a runner/walker?  Grab a friend and have fun on the sidelines while supporting our New Hope team.  Proceeds from the race entry fees go to scholarships at the Bellin School of Nursing which along with Bellin Hospital has been affiliated with the Methodist church since 1907.
Connecting Couples & Adventure Group Head to Crystal River Canoe Trip
Fun for Father's Day weekend! - Saturday, June 19th

Crystal River Canoe Trip 2009Invite your friends and family to come with us on the Crystal River Canoe trip in Waupaca on June 19th.  The trip is a 3 hour adventure for ages 7 to adult.  Two people (and a smaller child) ride in a specially made canoe down the scenic river, which averages about 2.5 feet in depth.  It is fun and exciting to shoot the rapids and dodge the obstacles that you will encounter.  It even includes a very short portage!
  • Cost is $16 per person.
  • Meet at New Hope at 10:15 a.m. OR meet us at Dings Dock in Waupaca by 12:30 p.m.  (We will be in the 1:00 group)
  • Pack a lunch to eat before hitting the water and you may want to plan on eating dinner in the area afterward.
RSVP here or on the sign up sheet on the refreshment table.

Check it out online at www.dingsdock.com.

Taking A Circuit Look At Small Groups

Green Bay Circuit United Methodist churches are invited to a gathering at New Hope UMC in De Pere on Wednesday, June 30 at 6:30 p.m. to brainstorm, communicate and coordinate small group ideas for the fall.

Many of the eight churches currently offer DISCIPLE, Companions in Christ, women's Bible studies, men's Bible studies, couple's groups, Lay Servant Ministry classes, support groups, etc.

Let's put our heads and our efforts together and invite members to attend a study at any church as their schedule and interests allow. Call Patti Bacher, Director of Ministries at New Hope UMC, at 964-0143 or Donna Wilkinson, Director of Nicolet District Lay Servant Ministries, at 391-0734 with questions. All are invited.
