Our tree is starting to look like it's budding out! We've logged over 1200 miles so far and I think some of our "usuals" didn't log this week, so I bet they'll catch up with their paperwork next week putting us way ahead!
Way to get active everyone! I can see it in the bounce in your step.
Be sure to log your walking/running mileage (or the equivalent for other activity**) on the Health Ministries bulletin board this Sunday.
We want our tree to be in full bloom by May, so get busy and get active!
**Count 10 minutes of other activity as one mile.

Greetings!
Rev. Barb Ristow will be our guest preacher this week and I'm excited to hear her develop "The Resurrection Through the Eyes of Mary Magdalene" based on John 20: 1-18. That Mary was quite a gal and I'm eager to hear what Barb has to say!
Some of our bible studies are finishing up for the year (Disciple IV) while others are getting a new start (Taste & See). The Connecting Couples will be having a fun outing this month and Tai Chi classes start on Saturday. There is always life and activity at New Hope - I like that. Check out the options and get involved! Music, youth group, bible study, activities for fun and fellowship, exercise and health awareness, if you don't see what you're looking for please ask!

Connecting Couples Go on Scavenger Hunt

Sunday, April 18th at 5:00
The Connecting Couples will be meeting on Sunday, April
18th at 5:00 for a really cool Scavenger Hunt. We'll solve the clues, chase down the place or object, snap a digital photo, and race on to the next. Points will be awarded for originality, creativity, and quantity among others. We will finish at a final "secret" meeting place to share our finds and determine the winners while we get a bite to eat.
Be sure to invite another couple (all ages welcome!), think of a great name for
your team and plan on a fun-filled evening solving the clues and chasing down
the "elusive."
Childcare is available here at church provided by New Hope's youth, if needed.
RSVP to Patti by Wed., April 14th so teams
can be organized.

Women's Bible Study Starts New Book
|
Wednesdays 9:30 - 11:00
'Taste & See', the Women's Bible group is starting a new book, "Six Basics of a
Balanced Life" on Wednesday, April 14. This 6-week study helps readers examine the key question, "What's really
important?" As readers address that question, they'll discover that it's not
important to "do it all!" And they'll learn that as they develop the right
heart attitude toward God and others, many of their balance issues will begin to
make sense. Then decisions about what to cut out of our lives will become clear.
This study isn't intended as one more item on someone's to-do list. Instead,
it's designed to help readers relax and have fun as they make important
decisions about the way they structure their lives. All women are invited to
join in for great conversation and fellowship. The book is available from the church for a cost of $8.

Nursery Volunteers Needed

Sign Up Now to volunteer in May and June
We will be offering
nursery at both the 9:00 and 10:30 services starting in May to allow everyone
to have the best of both worlds - go to worship AND a bible study, go to worship
AND teach Sunday School, go to worship AND volunteer in the nursery. No one
will miss out on anything - it will be GREAT! Thank you SO much for your
willingness to volunteer in this important area at New Hope!
We are
trying out

dates that work for you; let us know if you'll be taking the 9:00
time slot, the
10:30 slot, or both. We hope
