Maybe it's nesting, perhaps it's pre-holiday shopping guilt, but I recently found myself cleaning out the bottom of my closet. You know, where all the old running shoes live? The piles of shoes I know will never run with me again, but I can't possibly part with--they still look good enough for grocery shopping!
Let's be honest, someone should be wearing these shoes. Especially with the cold weather now here. So, eight pairs went into a shopping bag. I took them to the store, where we collect donations for the Community Clothes Closet, a local not-for-profit.
We've had the great fortune to offer several fundraising and donation opportunities over our first year in business, including donating sale proceeds to Haiti Relief, fundraisers for The Trina Fund and The Lesedi Project, and bags & bags of ongoing donations to the Community Clothes Closet. With Thanksgiving upon us, we encourage you to donate to our canned food drive. We'll offer you a 10% discount in exchange for your generosity.
As consumers ourselves, we believe in responsible shopping and supporting businesses that are customer-driven and community-oriented. During the season of giving, we invite you to support our efforts to support our community. Cheers!

Location: Fritse Park (East of Hwy 41 on Lake St)
Routes: 2-8 miles available For both runs, log your miles to earn rewards (!), stay motivated by meeting others w/ similar fitness goals, and stick around for some post-run socializing. |
