Greetings!
Things around the store are exciting!!
The space next door is painted and the floor is laid. New furniture pieces are being purchased, the shelving will be here in a matter of days, and soon the wall between the two spaces will come down.
Continue to track our progress; new pictures are being added to our website regularly.

In the meantime, safety is on our minds. Construction aside, safety and fitness must go hand and hand for you to be successful. Safety is all about awareness of the risks you are taking and reduction or avoidance of those risks.
You can exercise more safely by altering your environment, behavior and response:
-
Carry proper ID & and necessary medical information
-
Walk/run in familiar, populated areas or with someone
-
Carry money in case you become ill or injured
-
If you walk/run alone, be sure someone knows you're going out
-
If you must go out at night, stay in well-lit areas and wear brightly-colored or reflective clothing
-
Walk/run facing traffic & obey all traffic laws
-
Protection: carry whistle or protective spray, self-defense training
-
Never walk/run if lightning is present
-
Protect skin in the winter by dressing appropriately (sunscreen, hat/visor, and sunglasses are still necessary)
-
Use fluids to stay well-hydrated, even in the winter
Are you as safe as you can be? Make an effort to be sure you are aware of your safety limitations and do something to reduce your risk!
Cheers! |

Donate to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund
On January 12, a series of earthquakes devastated Haiti. That same day, Owners Leah and Jeremy were attending an industry conference in New Orleans--located at the center of the Katrina devastation. The irony was not lost.
The American Red Cross is working with the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network, the Haitian Red
Cross, and other partners to assist those affected by this disaster.
Fleet Feet Sports Fox Valley wants to help. Now through Saturday, February 13, 100% of the proceeds from all sale items will be donated to the Haiti Disaster Relief efforts of the American Red Cross.
Stop in the store and make a donation or DONATE NOW
**Your financial gift to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development will help those affected by this crisis. Your gift will support emergency relief and recovery efforts to help those people affected by the earthquake in Haiti. Assistance provided by the American Red Cross may include deploying personnel, sending relief supplies, and providing financial resources. The American Red Cross name is used with its permission, which in no way constitutes an endorsement, express or implied, of any product, service, company, individual or political position. |

A Little Goes a Long Way
Visibility does not have to come in the form of a $90+ jacket. There are plenty of simple and inexpensive ways to 'see and be seen'.
Flashing Safety Light {$2.50}
Be safe when walking, running, or cycling in the dark. Alert motorists and others that you're there by wearing a flashing safety light.
Completely versatile, attach the light to you clothing or hat, a backpack, even to your dog's leash.
ID on me {$14}
More than 500,000 runners and cyclists are involved in roadway accidents annually. Proper identification and medical information can save your life in an accident or emergency situation.
Walk, run, swim, or bike with this comfortable, convenient, water resistant bracelet (strap can also be removed to attach to shoe). For workouts, travel, keeping your child safe, and communicating medical needs.
These items and many more are available at Fleet Feet Sports Fox Valley. Stop in and increase your visibility. |
Fleet Feet Sports Fox Valley issues you a $15
