At Fleet Feet Sports, we resolve to introduce you to our FITlosophy. We believe properly fitted footwear is important to your success. Here's why:

You have 26 bones in each foot.

These bones are connected by 104 tendons and ligaments.

Running or walking, you strike the ground approximately 1,700 times per mile.

Each strike is anywhere from 3-10 times the force of your body weight.
Still not convinced? The 150-lb person training for a marathon will strike the ground in succession 44,540 times during the course of the marathon at the rate of 765,000 pounds of pressure per mile--which doesn't even take into account the 400 training miles you ran to get there.
