 Celtic RosesCELTIC ROSES
I wanted to create this piece to introduce roses into Celtic art. Roses (and other florals) aren't a standard Celtic mofit, but I felt that I could meld a modern rose within a Celtic knot. In this piece I have tried to balance the three roses within the knot so both have equal weight.
 Anne RavensdaughterTHE CELTIC HORSE
The Horse is a staple of Celtic art. To the ancient Celts, horses represented strength, speed, stamina and fertility. Horses are also associated with the goddess Rhiannon, who was first seen by her husband, Pwyll, when riding a white horse that no one could catch. The horse, being a creature of transport, could trasnport men to the underworld.
