February has been a hassle so far, with heavy snow in the Chicago area and the eastern seaboard. In spite of that, the visual components of winter intrigue me. For example, the skeletal phase of plants and trees, moving clouds and falling snow create interesting patterns and rhythms. I try to focus on these elements until the first signs of spring emerge! |

The juror was looking for work that displayed texture, actual or implied, as a visual language. This exhibit runs from February 18 through March 7, 2010.

 In honor of Valentine's Day, I included this tulip rich digital collage. I combined my own photography with a scanned acrylic painting. The dot pattern on the painting is abstract and playful, while repeating and harmonizing with the bright red tulips. Find this and more prints on
