Greetings!

Hello once again!  I hope this Newsletter finds you enjoying some beautiful Spring weather and not more of the snow that we've been getting this month!  It seems to change day-by-day!  We have tried to have all of our groups and programs go on without any delays or closings because of the recent heavy, wet snowfall.

Our staff has been working hard to coordinate all of our services to provide the most complete independent living experience we can to our consumers.  From our Independent Living staff, to our PCA Choice and Assistive Technology staff, we all are working together to meet the specific needs of each and every one of them.

In this edition of the Newsletter, you'll read about our Grand Rapids Open House, and also upcoming events and valuable information about resources available in the area for people with disabilities.

If there is something you would like to see in a future edition of the Newsletter or have a question you would like answered, please email us. Thank you for taking the time to read this month's Newsletter.

GAME NIGHT/
MOVIE NIGHT
Hibbing office - 2014 East 6th Avenue
We have many groups at Access North that offer support to those with a specific disability. Many of our consumers have requested groups that are open to everyone. We have heard your request and have started two new recreational groups. The goal of these two groups is to foster an inclusive environment and create an atmosphere where everyone with and without disabilities of all ages can come together, enjoy an activity, and socialize. All of our groups have coffee, water and popcorn supplied.

Game Night is an opportunity for everyone to come together and have some fun.  We have board games, card games, and video games.  We meet the first Monday of each month from 5-7 p.m. The goal is to have many different game tables going at the same time.

Movie Night meets every Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. We do not have regular movies scheduled. To accommodate people's different tastes in movies, whoever is here at 4:45 gets to assist in choosing the movie for that evening.

Please come out and join us for one or both of these fun filled evenings. Did we mention they are both offered free of charge?  If you have any questions, feel free to call Anita at (218) 262-6675.
