So many new yarns, new books, new faces in the shop, we're all working hard to get the shop boxed and bagged and moved to our new space on Main Street.
We're looking forward to hosting all of you in our new place. But as always...

 Moving on up!
So many things are going on, we'll try and catch you up on the highlights.
The Move - Yes, after almost 34 years in the same location, we're moving around the corner to Main Street. Why? We're out of room! We're almost tripling our space. More room, more fiber, and as always - More Fun! Keep an eye on the progress at our web site, our Facebook Page, or our Ravelry Page! The goal is to be in the new space sometime in May.
New Alchemy Colors in as well, more coming but check out the web site to see some of Gina's new colors!
We also finished our first "Weekend Away"! 25 knitters from around the country came to spend the weekend with us and get fiber filled instruction from Gwen Bortner! It was a lot of knitting and everyone had a good time and learned a ton of techniques!
Dinner Saturday night at Madeline's was a lot of fun with great food, great wine, great conversation, and lots of flaming Banana's Foster! We decided moderation could wait.
HUGE thank you's go out to our great friends at Manos del Uruguay for supplying all the yarn for the weekend! Each attendee received 2 skeins of Manos Rittenhouse! Also, big thanks to Skacel for the 20" Addi circular needles for everyone, Cambria Coffee Roasters for keeping us going during the day, and the Sweet Shop for candies for the afternoon sugar rush. All in all, a fun exciting weekend! Keep an eye out for more fun events from your friends at the Ball & Skein & More! |

 Free Pattern!
This month's pattern is a 2-for-one! With one pattern and 200 yards of yarn, you can get an adult AND a child's hat! We knit it with one 100 gram skein of O-Wool Classic, which is a Certified Organic US made merino yarn. 196 yards on a skein and a nice tight twist. If it's a 50 gram skein of O-Wool that you select in our on-line store, you'll need 2 skeins. Same cost, just how it's put up in the skein.
The hats can also be knit up in Rowan Creative Focus Worsted (One skein), Manos Rittenhouse or Maxima (Also one skein), as well as Noro Silk Garden (You'll need 2 skeins of Silk Garden)

 Looking Ahead
So many plans! Not only more 'Weekend Away's', we'll also have many other special events covering a wide range of topics as well as special guests, including Audrey Knight and her upcoming book "Reversible Scarves". Look for new yarns and trunk shows, including a special "Knit, Swirl" trunk show this summer!
