Question of the Day
Thanks Carla!

We'd like to send a spcial thanks to Carla for helping us out in the store while we were away. She is truly the Employee of the Month!

We think you'll be seeing more of her as time goes on.

And don't forget, you can forward this email to your friends, if you think they'd like it, by using the link below.
Art and Wine Festival Art & Wine Festival
Come visit us from January 29 - 31 for the Annual Cambria Art & Wine Festival! Three days of fun, art, and wine in our sleepy little town.

We're excited to be sponsoring Jana Seely, a local fibre artist. We'll be showing her work and she'll be stopping by to answer questions and to demonstrate some of her techniques. It's worth a trip!

TNNA Knitting TNNA Notes
We're back from the TNNA (National Needle Arts Association) Spring Summer Market in Long Beach and what a great trip it was! Views of the Queen Mary, dinners on the sidewalk cafes, and cocktails at a wonderful Art Deco restaurant overlooking the harbor. Between wonderful classes, meeting some amazing people, and finding new yarns, we're still reeling!

Madelinetosh New Yarn
We're so excited about some of the new things we're bringing in for you. New NORO, new Debbie Bliss, new Nashua, new Manos, some new Hemp and Corn based yarns, more Mountain Colors (Could they get any more amazing?), more Blue Heron, just amazing colors and textures from so many suppliers of beautiful fibers.

A couple of the things we're very excited about are two new yarns. One is Alchemy Yarns of Transformation. This is actually a yarn that's been a favorite of ours from our Boston days, and we had the great pleasure of spending some time with them at TNNA and we're delighted to say that they're dying some beautiful colorways for us. We can't wait to share them and the exciting patterns they have with all of you!

The other yarn that has us excited is Madelinetosh. Created by Amy Hendrix, an up and coming designer in Texas with a painting background, these yarns are truly hand painted in that she applies oil painting techniques to the yarns, layering colors until she gets the look she's after. Truly unique and something we think you'll truly enjoy.

Some things are already here, but over the next 4 to 6 weeks, we're expecting a lot of boxes to arrive at our little corner of the world! We'll try and keep you posted about the highlights!

Question of the day
Many people ask us, "Why are your receipts so big?" We thought long and hard about the decision to use a full sheet of paper and here is why we use the receipts we do. We print on 100% recycled paper. In addition, the paper is, of course, recyclable. Also, unlike small thermal receipts, the print doesn't fade away leaving you with no idea what that receipt was all about.

Yes, we wish the receipts were smaller, but in all, we're trying to do our little piece to 'reduce, reuse, recycle.'

Thank You
As always, thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. It's a new year, a new beginning for us, and we don't have words to describe how grateful we are for every person that comes in the shop or drops us a line. We love the feeling of community that surrounds us, and delight in seeing someone find that special something that makes them smile.
