Get Your Taxes Done Free at CAC!tax form

Get your income tax returns prepared for free at the Community Assistance Center as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. The service is available to any household earning less than $49,000 in 2011. Meet with our team of trained and certified volunteer tax preparers. VITA is operated by the Atlanta Prosperity Campaign and the IRS. CAC is one of many VITA sites in the metro Atlanta area.

Appointments are available through April 14, 2012
- Mondays and Wednesday, 4 pm - 8 pm
- Saturdays, 10 am - 2 pm

Become a CAC Volunteervolunteer

Join the more than 200 volunteers who keep CAC operating daily and help your neighbors in need. We have volunteer openings in all areas of the center. Volunteers work in the food pantry, thrift shop, and reception desk, answer phones, sort donations, serve as client interviewers and teach adult education classes. Volunteers are most needed Monday - Friday from 10 am - 2 pm. Volunteers would ideally be able to work once a week. Adult Education teachers are needed to teach Intro to Computers, Personal Finance and English for Successful Living. Classes are held in the evenings and Saturday mornings. Volunteers are also needed for administration, database work and special projects, hours are flexible.
 
Volunteers Needed for Summer Camp Registration: 
Saturday, April 28 from 10am-4pm and Wednesday, May 9 from 4pm-7pm. Bi-lingual/Spanish helpful but not needed.

Focus on Kids summer campaign. Hold drives and pack summer lunches or school supplies, or raise funds for a camp scholarship.

Fill the Teacher's Closet


We're running low on supplies for the Teacher's Closet. The program assists teachers in Sandy Springs schools with students in need so teachers don't have to purchase supplies with personal funds.
