AAWS Staff needs regular
volunteers to assist with mailings, greeting guests (docent services), and keeping up with daily chores.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to get involved, meet other artists, and help maintain a successful organization for everyone!

Best of all - volunteering is easy! Bring a book or artwork to work on. For school credit or just for fun.

Second Harvest Food Bank Needs Your Talent at Empty Bowls

On Wednesday, April 21, the Second Harvest Food Bank will host its ninth annual Empty Bowls Event at the Millennium Center in downtown Winston-Salem.  Over 1400 people will gather to have lunch, participate in a silent auction, take home a ceramic bowl and most importantly, raise money and awareness for hunger in our community.  One hundred percent of all contributions are donated to the Food Bank.
As artists you can help by donating a piece to the silent auction.  In addition to contributing to this wonderful cause, you will have an opportunity to promote your work with a brochure or business card, which will be placed next to your piece.  If you are interested in participating, please email Karen Pranikoff at kpranikoff@triad.rr.com  by Friday, March 26th.  She will make arrangements to pick up your contribution.  For more information on Empty Bowls, visit the website at www.hungernwnc.org.
The AAWS Gallery and Offices will be closed April 2 - 4 for Easter.
Have a Great Week!
