Friday, February 12 at noon WXII-TV News Anchor, Cameron Kent, will read from his newest book, The Road to Devotion, published by Press 53. You may buy your copy at AAWS! We'll have books available for purchase in the gallery.

Drawing Circle Saturdays, 10AM - Noon in the AAWS Gallery. No sign up or fee - just drop by. Open to artists of all skill levels who wish to practice drawing. All AAWS members are invited to drop in. |

Sunny will be managing the gift shop, doing some bookkeeping, and working closely with new Development and Events Coordinator, Christie Ponjican. Many of you might have known Christie during her years in development with the Arts Council. We feel quite fortunate to have Christie and Sunny joining the team at AAWS. |
Artist Workshops
In the AAWS Gallery. Space is limited so RSVP with your payment to hold your place!
- February 13, 10 AM - Noon: Origami Workshop with Mako Aoki, Coordinator, Japan Outreach Program, East Asian Languages and Cultures,Wake Forest University . A Presentation of traditional Japanese Arts and a hands-on workshop for creating artworks with single paper and multiple paper origami. Paper and Japanese snacks will be provided. Fee: $8/members and $10/non-members. Your Payment reserves your space!
- February 24, 2 - 4 PM: Pastel Workshop with Bill Gramley. All materials will be provided, but participants may bring their own pastels if they wish. Fee: $12/ members and $15/ non-members.
- March 6, 10 AM - 1 PM: Collage Workshop with Mona Wu. Learn to use and organize various materials like found and prepared papers, fabrics, and found objects to explore the possibilities of surface manipulations-the essence of two dimensional collage. Fee: $20/members and $25/non-members.
- March 10, 3 - 5 PM: Fabric Marbling workshop with Bill Colvard. Make and take home an original silk scarf. All materials provided. Fee: $30/ members and $35/ non-members.
