Thank You!

Since the co-op is a community initiative, we want to take the time to thank community members for contributing their time, skills and passions to the Monadnock Community Market.

The Co-op's Local Producer Outreach group wants to thank the 100+ farmers from our region who participated in their survey.  We are fortunate to live in a region that has such a diverse community of hard-working people growing and raising local food.

We look forward to our local food co-op featuring food raised and grown in our region!

Locally-Owned Businesses Your LOVE!

Hello Friends,

As usual, there's a lot to report. We're working on the design of the store, there's a new sign at our future site location,

and we are gearing up for our Member Loan campaign.

All signs point to 2011 being a year of continued momentum towards our opening in 2012. We couldn't have gotten this far without you - but we still need your help.  Included in this newsletter are additional ways you can help our co-op.

Eat well, enjoy winter, and we'll see you soon!

Yours cooperatively,
Monadnock Community Market Co-op

NEFU's Co-operative Education Program
Posted on the New England Farmers Union

New England Farmers Union's Cooperative Education program continues into the New Year with modules in two classes at Mount Wachusett Community College and one at the University of New Hampshire.  The modules, which introduce the cooperative business model to community college students in agricultural and natural resource programs, will give young people who are entering farming, food, and energy related fields another tool to craft these sectors sustainably.
