For years Equipment Development Co., Inc. has manufactured high-performance Scarifiers that aggressively remove concrete and asphalt surfaces.  NOW, we’re happy to introduce the 8” Scari-Lite Mini Planer designed to profile and remove coatings from the same surfaces.  While an EDCO Scarifier removes an 1/8” of concrete per pass, the Scari-Lite etches and preps the surface.  Light coats of paint, urethane and thin-set are no match for the Scari-Lite’s Carbide and Steel accessories.  These same carbide accessories are also used with EDCO’s popular CPM8 Scarifier.

Unlike high-voltage competing models, the electric powered Scari-Lite requires only 110 volts, allowing you to plug the machine into household outlets and access more areas.  A 5.5 HP gasoline option is also available for jobsites where electricity is scarce.

We are pleased to announce the creation of our new 24” Self-Propelled Saw.  Like other EDCO saws the new SS-24 is constructed of heavy-gauge steel as well as heavy-duty shaft and bearing assemblies.  These enhancements greatly reduce blade vibration, allowing the 24” Saw to smoothly cut concrete and asphalt roadways.  A screw-style Blade Depth Control guarantees accurate cutting, while the Blade-Saver feature stops the saw if its water supply becomes disconnected, preventing accessory damage.  All controls are mounted on an easy-to-reach console just above the accessible gas tank.  The saw’s maximum cutting depth is 9.5 inches.  EDCO also manufactures 20”, 26”, and 36” Self-Propelled Saws, plus a full line of Walk-Behind Saws.
