The Inner Map
 --
Nomi Bachar

Based on our experience, repressed or not, we form interpretations, memories, belief systems, patterns of behavior, and expectations. Ultimately, we create our view of the past, our reality in the present, and our future. We can call the internal canvass of our assumed reality, the "Inner Map." By that I mean, the total body-mind way of experiencing and interacting with self and life. The "Inner Map" affects our experiential glasses through which we see, feel and interact with reality.

The purpose of our inner transformation work is to re-organize our inner map, in such a way that we can experience the abundance, creativity, and joy that are available to us. Gates of Power® Method provides the tools to achieve this kind of inner-transformation.

Excerpt from
"Gates of Power® : Mastering the Channels  of Empowerment"- Nomi Bachar's Upcoming Book
" Our self-created "inner map" is driving us to re-create situations in our lives that reflect it. For example, if you felt betrayed or abandoned as a child, you probably will interpret the experience as a bitter fact of life, "People that I care about betray and abandon." The full emotional impact of the experience, might have been repressed, still the interpretation created a set of beliefs and a pattern of
defensive/protective behaviors. You might be closed off to intimate connections out of fear of betrayal and or you might be working hard to keep your loved ones happy at any cost in order to avoid abandonment. Every aspect of your life is affected by the "inner map" that this experience generated.
Many of us seek help when we realize that we are trapped in our repetitious, self-created hell. That is when we begin to move forward towards change."

Gates of Power Method teaches you to nurture yourself-mind, body and spirit. Let's take the "Gate of the Body" and examine how we can nurture and strengthen our bodies better.

Step 1: Take an inventory of your daily patterns in the areas of nutrition (food and drink), exercise, rest (how do you sleep at night?), and grooming.

Step 2: Review the inventory of your daily patterns. Choose one area you would like to improve on.

Step 3:  List three improvements you would like to make in your chosen area. For example, maybe you chose to improve your nutrition. So maybe now you will drink more water, eat three square meals per day and increase you intake of fresh fruit and veggies.

Step 4: Make a commitment to yourself in writing. For example, if your plan is to take water with you everywhere you go, jot this down as a plan of action. Do this for all three of your chosen improvements.

Step 5: Maintain a log for the next three weeks, detailing your strides and difficulties in improving your chosen pattern

At the end of the three weeks, give yourself a pat on the back for your accomplishment! Decide on how you would like to continue to change your self-nurturing patterns by going back through your list and choosing another area to improve on. Continue to record your progress in your log. Check back every three weeks to examine your activities.

You will see great change and results!

"Skills for Positive and Nurturing Inner Dialogue."

Workshop at Moonfire Empowerment and Sprituality Network.

Our inner dialogue can be a source of tremendous support or devastating destruction. When we are critical, self-hating, shaming and diminishing towards ourselves, we actually express these feelings and attitudes in our inner dialogue and, by doing so, we devastate our emotional self and cripple it. This workshop will give you hands-on, practical tools and skills to cultivate a positive and nurturing inner dialogue, so that you can have the support that you need to create an empowered life.
