I hope you are enjoying your summer.
Summertime is a time for emotions.
Can you imagine your life without the presence of feelings in it?
All the magical and painful moments that infuse life with moving depth and richness will not exist. The fire and passion as well as the stillness of awe, the sweetness of prayer, the inspiration of beauty, the depth of love and the fleeting fragrance of bliss will all be gone. Feelings are life's elixir, the most precious gift we have.
The heart, home of our emotions, is innocent and direct. When it is open it is a fountain of love and joy, a generator of bliss, playfulness and creative impulses. When the heart is close, caged and repressed our life force is blocked. We are not breathing, emotionally speaking, thus we are not fully alive we are just existing. The heart is also the master of our physical reality; it conducts the music that is the energy of our being. All physical manifestations are informed and effected by our feelings. If we are committed to being emotionally alive and physically healthy, we must recover and release the heart so it can return to its open and magical nature.
Allow yourself to feel daily. Gently surrender, accept and enjoy your feelings, even the painful ones. Experience the beauty and power that comes from being emotionally alive.
