Greetings!
This is the time of year you can implement some new intentions. Notice I am not using the word "goals". Here's why. A goal is specific, timely and usually measurable. Whereas, intentions have more to do with ways of being and the spirit behind these ways. They are not specific, nor measurable and need not be accomplished by a certain date. Intentions have more to do with your values and vision. Knowing your intentions can help you formulate goals and revise them where necessary in order to fulfill your intentions. Setting intentions opens the gate to your creativity. For example, say your intention is to be happy. Then, you can begin to explore different ways of being happy, the activities that bring out the happiness within you, and formulate your goals accordingly. So, how about setting some new intentions this year?

Boost Wellness with Laughter
The benefits of laughter are beginning to be studied and undestood by the medical profession. Here's a clip on YouTube.
How can you create more laughter? Imagine having more laughter at work and home. What would it be like for you? In the last year I found myself searching for ways to increase laughter in my own life to balance things out. We receive so much negative news all day, I felt I needed a boost of positivity to be in a positive state of mind consistently. So, I went shopping for comedies. Now, I have formed this new habit. Every night before going to bed, I pop a Friends or Grace and Will DVD, laugh my heart out and go to bed feeling amazing. Works like magic. When I'll run out of comedies, I trust I will come up with another way of maintaining my positivity. That is the difference between an intention, such as "being positive", and a goal "watch a comedy every night before going to bed".
So, for those of you who are craving more positivity in your life, start by setting the intention of being more positive. You'll know what to do to make that happen. Consider adding and creating more laughter in your life in whatever way works for you.
