A
Cautionary Word Regarding Fact-Checking
No
doubt each one of us receives at least one e-mail daily on the current state of
affairs in the US. These pieces may be
about the proposed Health Care initiative, the President, or any number of
topics. These get passed around more
than the yams at Thanksgiving dinner.
Forward,
forward, and forward again.
The
vast majority of these pieces are indictments of government. Some are righteous, sadly some are not.
Holy
Spirit has put the following word in my spirit.
It has been grieving me for some time, and I pray for a great grace to
go out with this word--- it is presented in Love.

The Two Cautions
|
1. God does not need any added human help in His Cause to Turn America Back to Himself.
Really,
He does not. All that He is requiring is
that the Righteous : Agree with Him and Remain Righteous in
spirit, word, and deed.
This
involves righteous expression of our passion for His Righteousness to be
established in our hearts and therefore in our homeland.
Regrettably,
many are only expressing a zeal which is not according to
knowledge. The expression of this
misplaced zeal manifests as embellished news reports, news reports without
accurate attribution to any publication or citation or byline.
Many
times I have received these posts without such substantiation---and have
checked appropriate and corresponding media archives. Alas, huge portions of the piece are
embellished or many times no such article exists.
As
the sons and daughters of God--couldn't we--and shouldn't we-- here and now
covenant together to hold fast to the Truth?
Could
we not also enter into a social contract to source check and fact check all
articles prior to circulating and re-circulating them? Certainly this is an agreement worthy of our
diligence and ultimately pleasing to the Lord.
Inaccurate reportage and twisted * (see note) quotations discredit all those associated!
Here's what the Word
has to say on this subject:
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil;
that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet,
and sweet for bitter!"
Isaiah
50:20
And
not rather (as we be slanderously
reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may
come? whose damnation is just.
Romans
3:8
Please
reference all of 2 Corinthians chapter 6.
Paul calls the Corinthian church to account for righteousness and accuracy.
2. Jesus Christ is the Holy Personification of
TRUTH
God
will never use innuendo, an inaccurate account, an embellishment to make a
point or win a battle. Jesus is the
Victory of every battle personal and corporate--and He is called the Truth.
Here's what the Word
has to say on this subject:
"Jesus saith
unto him, I am the way, the truth,
and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
John
14:6
"He is the Rock,
his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without
iniquity, just and right is he."
Deuteronomy
32:4
"Only fear the
LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things
he hath done for you."
1
Samuel 12:24
We
all place a daily demand upon the secular media for truth and accuracy in
reporting.
We
are the sons and daughters of God. For
us there is a More Excellent Way.
May
we all covenant to accurately cite all quoted and forwarded materials?
To
do otherwise dishonors America. It
dishonors God.

Special Note *

The enemy is a renowned "twister of words."
Recall his twisting of the holy scriptures as he tempted the Lord.
There is an evil spirit that attempts to enter into all of our conversations, twisting and distorting.
I repent personally of any and all personal involvement and participation. May all of my words be acceptable and pleasing to You, Lord.
Most likely all of us have been the unwitting victim of this Leviathan spirit and influence.
Jesus! Grace us for Truth and Accuracy!
Jesus, purge this enemy influence from Your Bride--as only You can:
"Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?"
Job 41:1
Job rhetorically implies that we cannot draw out Leviathan--this is the work of The Blood of Jesus and the Righteous Christ:
"In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall
punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked
serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea."
Isaiah 27:1
