Advancing an Appreciative Destiny 

We are fortunate to work with organizations we constantly learn from.


It was Community Living Ontario that first introduced us to asset-based community development in the 1990s. BLJC is the first organization we met with a vision to grow beyond sustainability and become a restorative business.


Long-term care continually demonstrates the proficiency that can be created from public-private partnerships.


Now, our newest partner Schlegel Villages is using Appreciative Inquiry (AI), a capacity-building approach to organizational change, to transform its senior's homes from institutional models of care into social models of living.


We are big believers in the power of AI, embracing the philosophy and model throughout our operations. While the opportunity to work with another organization harnessing this approach is compelling enough, the work has an additional attraction.

 

We were invited to start Schlegel Villages strengths-based story program at the same time it enters the fourth and final phase of the AI process, known as Destiny. Read More
