Joining with Fairtrade Canada

Fairtrade Canada has engaged Axiom News in a pilot project to share grassroots stories about the growing Fair Trade movement, a line of inquiry we are very excited about.

 

The national, non-profit Fair Trade certification organization will be posting strengths-based stories engaging its network every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The stories are part of a larger strategy to introduce and grow the Fair Trade movement here in Canada.

 

This project is compelling on a number of levels. First, it's an opportunity to demonstrate through authentic stories the value this movement brings, something we've known since we first interviewed Fairtrade Canada as part of our Stories That Matter coverage three
years ago.

 

The Fair Trade model and its values are just as relevant today as when the movement started nearly 60 years ago. It creates a sustainable production model and trading system that empowers small-scale farmers and artisans. Read More
