CONNECTING
The trends connect us all
At Axiom News we are increasingly seeing connections between the trends in each of our coverage areas. From Community Living, to the Independent Schools movement, to Patient Safety, and even Engineering there are similarities in the new thinking that seems to be emerging.

There is greater movement toward strengths-based individual and organizational development.

Grassroots involvement in making a social contribution through work is cropping up in the private, public and NGO sectors we are covering for you.

Evolving knowledge around governance and workplace democracy also cuts across the boundaries of each of our client and readership groups.

Through the Generative Journalist we will be sharing links to stories from AxiomNews.ca and our client sites whenever there
appears to be a connection that cuts across organization bounds.

In column one we will share the latest in ideas and trends, in column two links to news articles that reflect trends.

In column three, we will be sharing knowledge about how generative journalism works, what we are learning and how each you are leveraging Generative Journalism to make a difference in your organization.

We invite you to share this E-News Update with friends, colleagues, and anyone else interested in learning more about the ideas and organizations we are covering.

What are you most excited about?
Positive results shared from asking generative questions
Axiom team members engaged in a lively conversation in the newsroom during our first open space meeting about developing generative journalism question sets, as we shared experiences on the power of the interview question "what are you most excited about?"

In my last Writer's Notebook entry, Designing questions to provoke brightness of the future thinking, I shared a question set that opens with asking what most excites you about this topic. I learned this entry had sparked some new approaches to question sets and the use of this particular question by other writers.

Camille said after asking "what are you most excited about" you can hear the person's tone change when answering the question. There is more energy and optimism in the response, she said. Read More
