This is an exciting time in our organization. Our members are working hard to bring you the new and improved Summer Academe, to present research and assessment updates and plan a conference that will give NAASS members an opportunity to share their accomplishments and identify future goals.

How about joining our efforts?

We are seeking current and future leaders in the field of Summer Sessions to become committee members. This is a great opportunity for you to help us develop and implement new ideas, create opportunities for our members and be instrumental in taking our organization to the next level.

If you are interested in serving on one of the committees listed below, please contact President Cindy DeLuca.

Please take a moment to read the newsletter, submit a proposal for the Theresa Neil Memorial Research Award, and prepare a submission for the 2012 Conference in Philadelphia.

Summer Session Conferences

The 49th NAASS Conference will be held in Philadelphia on November 11-14. The Call for Proposals is available online, with more details about the conference to follow. Read more.

Registration is open for the NCCSS Conference on March 7-9 in Chicago. February 17 is the deadline for hotel reservations. Read more.

The Northeastern Regional Conference of NAASS takes place on April 15-17 in Albany, New York at the Demond Hotel and Conference Center. Contact Regional Vice President Margaret Shaw-Burnett for more information.

The Southern and Middle States Regional Conference of NAASS has opened online as well as paper registration for its April 18-20 event in Arlington, Virginia at the Virginia Tech Research Center. Contact Southern Regional Vice President Sarah Bradford for more information. Read more.

Countdown to the 2012 Conference

11 Months until Philly!

We'll be staying at the Sheraton Society Hill, located in one of the most pleasant areas in Philadelphia. The neighborhood, loosely defined as the area between Walnut, Lombard, Front and 8th streets contains the largest concentration of original 18th and early 19th century architecture of any place in the United States. Much like Beacon Hill in Boston , Society Hill is a charming district with cobblestone streets bordered by brick rowhouses in Federal and Georgian style. Read more.
