A PAIN IN THE NECK

LucyPopTrainer Clinton Anderson says "Any problem that a horse could possibly have comes from either a lack of respect or fear, or in some cases both". (source Midwest Horse Digest Jan/Feb 2010)

There is a another reason - maybe she really can't do what you ask.  Read the story of Lucy, the dream quarter horse mare who over a period of months turned into Lucifer, the night-MARE.  You will gain some understanding into that other reason and maybe head off problems of your own.  Click HERE for more

 NATURAL HORSEMANSHIP AND THE COPS?
Gary TTWhat does Natural Horsemanship and the Cops have in common?  On the surface, you might wonder, however the Madison Mounted, located in Madison Wisconsin practices Natural Horsemanship with their police mounts.

When Gary & I registered for a January de-spooking clinic, little did either of us know what we were in for.  We were asked to provide mounted patrol this summer for a country music festival, and although we have done this before, we didn't want to pass up this clinic.  Read more about our clinic HERE.............

ITS A CINCH - AND A BREAST COLLAR

Mohair CinchMohair is a natural product and is a wonderful material for your horse's tack.  This beautiful cinch and breast collar were made by Cindy after taking a cinch making class with Pop Wagner.  This set was made for Spice - Cindy's Missouri Fox Trotter.  Fun and easy, what a great way to pass the long winter hours!!  More are on the way!!

NEW PRODUCT TO BE RELEASED IN FEBRUARY
Pads
We love the suede bareback pads and finally found some just like the more pricey ones.  These are the same high quality pads with suede covering felt, full leather over the top and a traditional western rigged cinching system.  Pair one of these up with a matching mohair cinch (special orders) and you will have a fantastic pad to make bareback riding FUN again. Suede on the top provides velcro for your rear and the felt is soft, breathable and comfortable for your horse.Develop your seat, balance, feel and timing!  You have to ride your horse when you ride bareback and the strong grab handle really can help!
Many beautiful colors available.

TRY JILL'S GREAT DIP RECIPE TO BEAT THE WINTER "CHILLY'S"
Chilly Dip
This simple to prepare recipe will warm you up for sure:
Chili Cheese Dip
1 can Hormel Chili (no beans) - we used Turkey
8oz Package Cream Cheese (softened)
1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese (more if you like cheese)
4oz can green chili peppers (optional - gives it a little kick..)
Evenly spread the cream cheese into the bottom of a glass pie plate.  Mix the green chili peppers into the Hormel Chili and spread over cream cheese.  Sprinkle Cheddar Cheese over the Chili and bake at 350 until hot and bubbly. Garnish with fresh tomatoes and onions if desired.  Serve with tortilla chips and ENJOY.

FUN WEBSITE - AND HANDY TIP FOR THE TOILET
We found this website this summer and have tried some of their ideas.
This is my personal favorite and it has saved me lots of time.  We have terribly rusty water and it stains the toilet bowl.  No matter how many times I clean our toilets, there are always rust stains.
I started squirting liquid fabric softener in the bowls before going to bed.  No more RUST. The slippery consistency of the fabric softener makes the water soft and it does not leave deposits on the bowl.
Plus it smells great and even Gary is able to do it!
