Greetings!
Welcome to the summer edition of our e-newsletter Advocacy in Action! We hope you are enjoying your summer! Here at DBCC we have been busy gearing up for our upcoming fall events. Look down the left-hand column and check out all the different events from 5Ks to a Survivor Cruise to our Northern Lights of Life Gala!
This summer, we have also been training new volunteers and peer mentors and attending health fairs and events. Our survivorship programs are in full swing in the summer months as survivors gather outdoors for the Nurture with Nature program or focus on healthy living with the Survivor Social events.
We hope you'll enjoy reading the newsletter. This edition has a great Ask the Doctor Section about survivorship care, a story about a married couple who both battled breast cancer, and much more. We'll be sending a special Breast Cancer Awarenesss Month newsletter out in October so keep an eye out for it!
We hope to see you at a DBCC event soon! There will be a lot of opportunities to support DBCC as we move into the fall months.
