| Latenight Transport for Cork Jazz Festival & Cork Film Festival |
 Cork City Cares is to extend the operating times of Ireland's only Marshalled Taxi Rank, on Patrick St, beside Brown Thomas, on Friday's and Saturdays 12 midnight until 3.30am during the Cork Jazz and Film Festival's.
Bus Eireann will also be running additional services for the Jazz Festival, details available here.
Cork City Cares welcomes the reopening of The Savoy this weekend, congratulations to all involved.

| Biggest Networking Event of the Year in Cork |

 Cork Marketing Partnership and Cork Convention Bureau will join, up to, 350 Irish and international delegates attending the international networking event 'Cork Meet 2009' from November 11 - 13 in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cork.
CORKMEET 2009 has been organised by Trading Link Cork, a dynamic partnership for business between Cork County Council, Cork County and City Enterprise Boards and Cork Chamber, in an effort to stimulate business partnerships between Irish and international companies.  Cork Marketing Partnership congratulates Claire Nash of Nash 19 on winning this year's "Good Food Ireland Host Of The Year Award". Claire overshadowed many of the country's top restaurants including Dublin's Chapter 1 which had to be content with 2nd place. Well done Claire, pictured left with Nash 19 manageress Mairéad O'Brien.
A special mention as well to Glebe Gardens & Café, Baltimore, Cork in winning the Good Food Ireland Top Regional Member for the south of Ireland. |

 Store openings at Opera Lane continue in November with Gap launching it's first store in Cork offering Men's, Women's, Kids and Baby Gap clothing range.
Topshop, Topman, New Look, Next and River Island will quickly follow the Gap launch and Boots will open a brand new flagship store in Half Moon St, the second largest Boots store in the country, the Half Moon St store will create over 50 full-time and part-time jobs , read more..... |
| Cork Convention Bureau joins ICCA |
 Cork Convention Bureau is proud to be accepted as a member of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). Membership of the ICCA will allow Cork Convention Bureau to target 8,000 International Associations with the aim of securing their annual conference for Cork.

 The Afternoon Show will feature a Value for Money slot, Monday afternoons throughout December.
Cork businesses with special 'Value for Money' offers are invited to submit their value offers, which once received, will be forwarded on to the Afternoon Show team.
Recent examples from the Value for Money slot:
- Clonmel hosted a style festival with fashion shows etc, local boutiques and beauty salons offered discounts and deals to customers.
- Monaghan held a food festival, restaurants in the town offered 2 course meals for €12.

"Better Buildings" gets Better and Better

 The Cork Better Building Breakfast Awards Ceremony will take place on Friday, November 13th at The Gresham Metropole, Hotel. The Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr. Dara Murphy will present 22 awards across 7 categories to building owners who have designed, conserved, maintained and presented their premises to the highest standards. | Clipper 09/10 Round the World Yacht Race |

Ireland's first-ever entry in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is the "Cork" boat and she is holding her own... read more
The "Cork" boat is currently promoting Cork as a tourism and business destination around the world. Tourism Ireland, Cork County and Cork City Council will be working together to promote Cork to consumers, business and the media in key overseas markets.
