Greetings!
Happy New Year! Crossroads started off 2012 by becoming tobacco-free at all of our locations. We're excited to announce new members and officers for our Board of Directors, along with the date for a fun open house event we're in the midst of planning.
Crossroads' first Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for men started this week in our Scarborough office. The IOP is being offered Monday through Thursday from 5:00pm -8:00pm. You can find more information on our website.
Finally, thanks to all of you who donated to our annual giving campaign in 2011. We appreciate your kindness!

Crossroads is Now Tobacco-Free
Smoking tobacco causes more deaths among clients in substance abuse treatment than the alcohol or drug use that brings them to treatment (SAMHSA advisory March 2011). Research is now showing that people are more likely to stay sober and less likely to relapse if they also quit using tobacco when entering substance abuse treatment. Considering this evidence, Crossroads decided to become a tobacco-free campus at all its locations starting January 1st. Knowing that some clients and staff may have a hard time transitioning to a smoke-free environment, Crossroads has worked closely with Healthy Maine Partnerships. We are providing smoking cessation support groups to staff and residential clients. Crossroads also offers resources and consultations with medical staff around creating a smoking cessation plan.Back to Top
