Kennebunk Counseling Center Celebrates its One Year Anniversary
Kennebunk Counseling CenterCrossroads for Women opened the doors to Kennebunk Counseling Center, an outpatient satellite office, in March of 2009.

While the first month of operation was dedicated mainly to setting up the office and making it a safe, comfortable environment for our clients, the office has seen continuous growth since seeing its first client in April of 2009. Kennebunk Counseling Center has seen over 100 clients in the past year. In fact, the four counselors now serve 50 - 60 clients every week!

In addition to one-on-one mental health and substance abuse counseling, the Kennebunk office now also offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) from 9:00am - 12:00pm Monday - Friday, as well as a Living with Depression and Anxiety therapy group that meets Tuesday evenings from 5:30pm - 7:00pm. Medication management is also offered through our psychiatrist.

Crossroads for Women has been welcomed with open arms into the Kennebunk (and York County) community and is thankful for the support it has received throughout the year. We're looking forward to another great year!

Alcohol Awareness Month: Women & Alcohol (week 2)

Educate a woman in your life by sharing some of these statistics and have a conversation about alcohol. Alcohol is associated more closely with crimes of sexual violence than any other drug; it is implicated in as many as 73% of all rapes and 70% of all incidents of domestic violence. It is linked to more incidences of violence than illicit drugs, including cocaine, heroin, and PCP. Read More
