Richard Heinberg: Temporary Recession or the End of Growth?

economists debate the financial policy causes of the current downturn, Heinberg

coming to the end of the availability of cheap carbon fuels on which the global

Still unanswered questions about 9/11
On
August 31, 2004, Zogby International, the official North American political
polling agency for Reuters, released a poll that found nearly half (49.3%) of
New York City residents and 41% of those in New York state believed US leaders
had foreknowledge of impending 9/11 attacks and "consciously failed"
to act. Of the New York City residents, 66% called for a new probe of
unanswered questions by Congress or the New York Attorney General. Since that
time, multiple professional polling organizations have obtained similar results
in polls conducted nationally and internationally.
Those
who favor a thorough and unbiased accounting of the facts now number in the
millions, from countries around the world and from across the political spectrum.
9/11 Truth is not and never has been a partisan issue and only by standing
together can we approach truth and achieve the reconciliation that is necessary
to our common good.

Unmistaken Child
This beautiful and profoundly moving documentary follows the four-year search
for the reincarnation of Lama Konchog, a world-renowned Tibetan master who
passed away in 2001 at age 84. The Dalai Lama charges the deceased monk's
devoted disciple, Tenzin Zopa (who had been in his service since the age of
seven), to search for his master's reincarnation. Tenzin sets off on this quest
through breathtaking landscapes and remote Tibetan villages. Along the way,
Tenzin listens to stories about young children with special characteristics,
performs rarely seen ritual tests and obtains astrological divinations designed
to determine the location and identity of his reincarnating master. He
eventually presents the child he believes to be his reincarnated master to the
Dalai Lama who certifies the final choice. After permission is granted by the
parents of the boy, he is inducted into a lamasery to begin his long
education. His former disciple, now his care-taker guardian, accompanies him as
the master, now in child form, bestows blessings on the thousands of devotees
who have come to the public initiation ceremony. Obviously authorized by the
highest lamaist authorities, this film represents a teaching on the deepest
mysteries of reincarnation.
Look for this film in your local independent movie theatre or buy them when
available on DVD.
