Alchemical Divination and Yogic Chant

Alchemy,
akin to shamanism and yoga, is the ancient art and science of elemental
transformation - at physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels.
Divination is a structured inquiry to access inner knowledge of the
past, for healing and problem solving; and of the future, for visioning
and guidance.
As part of the sacred sound experience of this
workshop, we explore Indigenous shamanic traditions that use rhythms to
induce altered state trance journeys, and 'spirit songs' for healing,
as in Amazonian medicine ceremonies, and Yogic traditions that use
mantras or sacred seed syllables (like OM) to bring about one-pointed
concentration and deep inner states of absorption.

Alchemical Divination
Accessing Your Spiritual Intelligence for Healing and Guidance

Essentially, divination is a structured inquiry to obtain knowledge about past, present or future, either from sources within oneself, or from another individual, sometimes called a diviner or psychic. In traditional cultures and esoteric traditions as well as the contemporary "New Age" sub-culture divination is usually practiced in conjunction with a symbolic system such as the ancient Chinese I Ching, the Nordic Runes, astrology, the medieval Tarot cards, or the reading of patterns of stones or bones or small sea-shells, or gazing into a crystal ball. In Graeco-Roman times the professional diviners, called augurs, interpreted the patterns made by flying flocks of birds, or a slaughtered animal's entrails.

*Political and Sociological Implications of the UFO/ET Hypothesis
The UFO/ET hypothesis is the idea that UFOs observed in the sky are, in an overwhelming number of instances, in fact guided by intelligent beings from other worlds. This essay is the first serious discussion by two academics of the unique scientific paradoxes and political challenges posed by this phenomenon: the impartial evaluation of the data is confounded by the realization that the presumed presence of ETs in our skies poses a unique challenge to the principle of state sovereignty. "UFO ignorance is political rather than scientific"- that's the conclusion of two prominent university professors who had the results of their research on UFOs published in the August 2008 edition of Political Theory. It was the first time a major political science journal had published an article dealing with the UFO phenomenon so it has predictably sparked controversy in the academic world. Their main argument is that this is due to a "metaphysical threat" that UFOs pose to the sovereignty of modern states.
