 This week I wanted to take a moment to highlight a recent post on our blog dealing with adapting video game technology for the use in rehabilitation settings. Follow this link to our weekly blog to see an inspirational video on Rice Unviversity's project involving the Nintendo Wii Fit board. My staff and I are often asked about video game technology and whether there is any research proving it to be a valid tool for use in therapeutic purposes?
My response has been increasingly positive as there are many other therapists and game developers studying this very topic. Next month I will be traveling to Boston to share our pilot study findings at the Games for Health Conference 2011. I expect to meet with others who have a wide variety of interests and roles in the world of gaming and rehabilitation. When I get back I will be sure to share with everyone the latest developments in the field.
