During these spring weekends we will take a look at a variety of issues related to family. We will look to scripture and the traditions of the church to help us grow in our own situations and circumstances to understand more fully how to support and encourage others who are in situations differing from ourselves. April 30/May 1: MAKING FAMILY A PRIORITY
Youth/Children led worship
There is an old saying that holds a lot of truth: "You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family." God gave you your parents - your brothers or sisters; God gave you your children, and God has no exchange policy. Your family is yours for life. God not only created us to be in relationship with others but to be a part of a family.
Family relationships are at the center of all human relationships. It's the place where each of us begin to learn about how relationships work. Family relationships are:
F - orgiving
A - uthentic
M - agnetic
I - nstruct
L - oyal
Y - ield to one another
So how can we improve our family relationships? How can we place God's design for healthy relationships back in our families? Join us this weekend as the youth & children of our church lead all four worship services and reflect on what it means to make healthy families a priority.
Happy Mother's Day! A special celebration of mothers is planned for each of the services. "New Moms" will also be recognized at the 9 & 10:30 a.m. services.
This is one of several special Sundays when elementary-age children (K5-5th grade) are encouraged to be in worship with their families - therefore there will be no Rotational Sunday school. Childcare (0-2 yr) and Preschool (2 yrs to K4) Sunday school will be offered at 9 & 10:30 a.m.
