Greetings from New Hope!
Mission: Ending Domestic and Sexual Violence in Our Community.
|
|
Thank You From New Hope
July marks the start of a new fiscal year for us at New Hope, Inc. and it also marks a time for us to reflect on all of the support that we continue to receive from committed community members like you.
This past Fiscal Year, 2012, New Hope, Inc. has made some great strides in achieving our mission of "Ending Domestic and Sexual Violence in Our Community" but we are especially proud of the progress that we have made in enhancing our client services. We expanded our Hotline services, allowing us to provide more immediate support and spend more time assisting each caller. These Hotline changes have enabled more in-depth safety planning, support and referrals to other internal and external resources that survivors may need.
New Hope, Inc. has also expanded our services with two new Community Based Advocates, who provide immediate crisis intervention, safety planning, and other services to survivors in the Southeast and Central regions. All of these program improvements have helped New Hope, Inc. respond to the ever-increasing demand for our services.

Special thanks to all of the groups who recently performed physical service during a Day of Caring at one of our program locations. STAPLES, Inc., ROCKLAND TRUST WOMEN OF ACTION, and AVECIA for their support in completing painting, landscaping and beautification projects at our Shelter locations. Our clients now have a brighter, more supportive environment to enjoy during their stays with us.
To all of the organizations and individuals who have made monetary or in-kind donations of goods and services, or who have given their time to New Hope, Inc. this past year, please know that your contributions represent much more than just the amount of your gifts. We would like to extend heartfelt thanks from our entire staff and on behalf of the clients we serve. |
New Hope's Community Outreach Efforts
New Hope's Education and Outreach team has been working hard to offer more diverse options to the public in terms of education and training.
Over the last year we have expanded our programming to fit the needs of all who seek information on a variety of topics on the violence spectrum, including bullying, cyber bullying, healthy relationships, healthy sexuality, sexual harassment, childhood sexual assault and of course domestic and sexual violence.
During Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April of 2012, the education and outreach staff provided programming to all ages, kindergarten through elders. We have also worked hard to foster relationships with faith-based communities, college campuses and other non-profits in our catchment area, and are looking forward to seeing these as well as new relationships grow in the future. |
New Hope Events Update
This year, we are proud to have introduced a successful new event, our First Annual Highlights of Hope Breakfast. Many thanks to our host, Dean College, and our Highlights of Hope Matching Gift Sponsor, Rockland Trust, whose generous matching gift has helped New Hope to continue providing life-changing services to our clients. Watch for an announcement and Save the Date for next year's Highlights of Hope event to be held at Dean College!
We are also looking forward to our upcoming Gourmet Guys and Moonlit Wine, Beer and Food Tasting events. Many thanks to all who have helped make these events fixtures in the community, especially those who volunteer to sit on our Event Committees, event volunteers, and our hosts, the Attleboro Lodge of Elks and Briggs Nursery. Visit www.new-hope.org for details on all upcoming events. |
