New Hope Volunteer Recognized as Patriots Foundation Community MVPLori Pats MVP Pic

New Hope Volunteer Lori Salotto (pictured at right with
representatives of the Patriots Foundation and the Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund) was recognized as a Community MVP by the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation (full article).

Lori has been a New Hope volunteer for the past eleven years, offering her time and talents within two different yet much-needed programs which help those affected by domestic and sexual violence: our shelter and our SANE Advocacy programs.

Lori exemplifies the true meaning of a volunteer. Her compassion, her extensive knowledge, her willingness to be on call each and every week, and her eleven-year commitment to New Hope and survivors in our community made her an outstanding candidate for The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation's Community MVP Award.

Foundation President, Joshua Kraft, noted at the award ceremony that "volunteers are what keep non-profits going," and we couldn't agree more.

Congratulations Lori!
Wine Tasting and Walk for Hope ~ Smashing Success!

Over 200 guests joined us at our Wine, Cheese and Chocolate Tasting on April 24th at the Asa Waters Mansion in Millbury.

Guests lavished over both fine white and red wines
, chocolate goat cheese, assorted cheddars, locally brewed craft beer, assorted chocolates, cookies and more - all while members of The Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra serenaded us with classicalAsa Waters Mansion tunes that captured the evening's elegance and charm.

From the tasting of wines, cheeses and chocolates, to the bidding in our Live Auction on items such as a 42" flat-screen television - New Hope's supporters helped create an evening we will long remember!

Close on the coat-tails of this highly successful event was New Hope's first Walk for Hope.

Over 150 individuals, team members and even some canine friends of New Hope took to the streets of
Walk ImageMansfield's Industrial Park the sunny morning of May 16th to support New Hope's mission of ending domestic and sexual violence - one step at a time.

Events like these help raise critical funds that ensure New Hope's services remain available to all survivors in our community.

Thanks to all of our sponsors, in-kind donors and supporters who made New Hope's Wine, Cheese, and Chocolate Tasting and 2010 Walk for Hope such successful events!

**Reminder to all Walkers - your complimentary tickets to the Boston Breakers home game vs. Sky Blue FC are for this Sunday, June 13th at 4:00 PM. Have a great time!
