Campus Assault By the Numbers

~ 1 in 5 female students will be victims of assault or attempted assault during their college careers.

~ 95% of sexual assaults go unreported to college campuses

~ Of the incidents reported, 78% of the victims of rape and sexual assault are women, 22% are men

~ 77% of four-year colleges and universities reported zero sexual offenses in 2006

~ 13% of schools reported just one or two such offenses for 2006.

New Hope works closely with the colleges and universities in our community to help ensure their students are aware of the services New Hope can provide.

New Hope at Elements for Excellence 2010
Cranberry Chamber
New Hope will be presenting a workshop entitled "The Cost of Domestic Violence on your Bottom Line" at the Elements for Excellence 2010 Conference presented by the Cranberry Country Chamber of Commerce at Massasoit State College on Tuesday, March 23rd.

The Elements for Excellence Conference brings together business and professional women from throughout the Southeast Region and will feature First Lady Diane Patrick as the key note speaker.

New Hope's workshop will address the issue of domestic violence in the workplace: learning how to define domestic and sexual violence, learning what to do when an employee or colleague discloses abuse, and learning how to promote safety in the workplace.

New Hope's Wine, Cheese and Chocolate Tasting

New Hope is hosting a Wine, Cheese, and Chocolate Tasting on Saturday, April 24th, 2010 at 7pm at the Asa Waters Mansion in Millbury, with string chamber music provided by musicians of The Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets are $35.00 per person in advance, $40.00 at the door (unless we sell out). Guests will also receive a souvenir glass courtesy of the Verizon Pioneers.

Tickets can be purchased online by visiting New Hope's Donate page and following the instructions listed there. Please indicate "Wine, Cheese & Chocolate Tasting" in the "Donation Instructions" window when instructed to do so. Tickets may also be purchased at the following locations:

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and New Hope has many events planned to help raise awareness in our community about the issues surrounding sexual violence and the services New Hope provides to those in need. Some events are listed below.
