Building the Workforce:
Jobs in Sports-Based Youth Development

Up2Us is dedicated to increasing the impact of youth sports as a tool for positive youth development and to increasing access to quality Sports-Based Youth Development programs, especially for disadvantaged youth.

To accomplish this and as a service to our members, Up2Us will send biweekly e-blasts to promote job opportunities in your programs.

ACHIEVE Youth Triathlon Summer Camp, Coach (Washington, DC & Houston, TX)

ACHIEVE Youth Triathlon Summer Camps are free six-week camps designed to train youth to compete in triathlons. As youth navigate the challenges of training, they also build essential life skills in fitness, exercise, discipline and self-confidence.

Coaches will train youth in swimming, biking and running this June and July. Coaches must commit Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM- 12:30 PM for the duration of the camp.

For more information about coaching at ACHIEVE, contact Michelle Harburg (michelle@wseminc.com).

Coach for America applications are now live! (Nationwide)

Coach For America (CFA) is the first nationwide effort to mobilize highly trained AmeriCorps members as coaches at Sports-Based Youth Development organizations around the country.

Coach For America members will use their love and knowledge of sports to serve, teach and support youth through a host organization that provides programming for under-resourced youth. As a head or assistant coach, CFA members will address some of the most pressing needs of young people: childhood obesity, academic failure and anti-social behavior.

Full-time, half-time, quarter-time and minimum-time positions are available nationwide.
