Up2Us is dedicated to increasing the impact of youth sports as a tool for positive youth development and to increasing access to quality Sports-Based Youth Development programs, especially for disadvantaged youth.

Big City Mountaineers, Team Leader (Denver, CO)

Big City Mountaineers enhances the lives of under-resourced urban teens through transformative outdoor experiences. These experiences instill in teens decision-making skills, self-esteem and resiliency.

Team Leaders lead a small group of teens on a week-long wilderness trip and coordinate trip logistics including itinerary, transportation, meals, budget and communications. Team Leaders ensure the physical and emotional well-being of trip participants.

I Challenge Myself, Athletics Director (New York, NY)
I Challenge Myself programs challenge youth to achieve their fitness goals. By participating in a vigorous training program, youth gain leadership experience, self-esteem and discipline.

The Athletics Director will strengthen and enhance the Cycling Smarts program, which challenges high school students to complete a two-hour spin-a-thon and one hundred mile bike ride. Responsibilities include supervising Cycling Smarts teams, disseminating best practices, organizing training rides and facilitating the recruitment, training and placement of volunteer coaches and interns.

Parks and People Foundation, Watershed Community Forestry Coordinator (Baltimore, MD)
The Parks and People Foundation works to improve the physical, social and environmental quality of life in Baltimore through greening activities and youth programs.

The Watershed Community Forestry Coordinator will lead these greening activities, which include planting trees, restoring vacant lots and beautifying schools. The Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with community members, city government officials, state agencies and non-profits.
