Greetings!
Oasis Gala at the Kravis Center netted $30,000 in profit!
Oasis Compassion
Agency's 4th dinner and auction raised approximately $30,000 in
profits on Saturday, October 24th. One hundred and fifty people attended the
recent event at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. The master of ceremonies
was A. Wayne Gill, legal advisor to Oasis. Gill is a partner at Adorno &
Yoss LLP; he is also an interim pastor at Palm Beach Baptist Church, and the
author of the book Tales My Grandma Told Me. The honorary co-chairs for this
year's event was Senator Jeff Atwater and Senator Dave Aronberg. Music was
provided by the Memory Lane 7 piece band.
The Presenting Sponsor
was Gunster Law Firm, oldest lawfirm in Palm Beach County. Joe Curly, one of
the partners, spoke briefly about the reasons his company supports Oasis and
encouraged all corporations and individuals at the event to consider how they
might also support the work that Oasis is doing. Additional corporate support
was provided by Morning Star Financial Services, this year's gold sponsor and
Adams Coogler law firm.
Oasis' annual
Compassionate Spirit Awards added a new category this year-
Advocate of the Year, which was awarded to Dr. Farokh Jiveh, a
Wellington cosmetic dentist, who gave a "new" mouth to an Oasis client this
year. The other awards were as follows:...Click here to read more about this excitng event and view pictures!

I am now employed!
Meet Victor Lopez, in his own words..
One day I was walking
and walking looking for a job. I met an Oasis Compassion client and he
explained to me how the program works. I walked in and met with the intake
counselor (Greyni) and asked about help finding employment. I told her my story
how I had just moved from New York
and my wife is still there, suffering from health problems. I was looking to
find a job that would allow me to bring my wife down here, so her health could
improve.......

We would also like to thank Pastor Lisa Sullivan and the team from Salt Life Ministries for their donation of thanksgiving items to make additional baskets.
We distributed baskets to many families on November 21st and will continue through the 25th.
