Honda News - Recalls on Fit and Ridgeline
Honda Fit

Honda is recalling 141,000 2007-2008 Fit automobiles. Certain Fits could experience power window failure due to water entering the master power window switch. Dealers will inspect the switch, install a cover to prevent water entry and replace any switches already damaged.

The recall has not yet been announced by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Owners should expect notification by Honda of the recall in the coming weeks. Or they can call Honda's customer service line at 800-999-1009.

Honda is recalling certain 2006-2007 Ridgeline vehicles manufactured between January 17,2005 and June 7, 2006. A wiring harness connector to the heating and ventilation system located under the passenger side of the instrument panel may kicked by a passenger. Continued kicking of the wire connector could result in a short circuit and possibly a fire. Dealers will inspect and replace any wires that are damaged. The safety recall is expected to begin this month.

Call Honda's customer service line at 800-999-1009 for more information.

Maintanence Is Less Expensive than Repairs

During these difficult economic times it is more important than ever to keep your vehicle well-maintained.
  • Change the oil regularly - every 3,000 miles - have all fluid levels checked.
  • Repair and replace brakes when needed - Safety comes first.
  • Replace tires when needed.  Tires keep your vehicle on the road.
Remember:  Maintenance cost less than repairs.  Maintenance can be scheduled.  Repairs and breakdowns never happen at a convenient time.
Drive Safely,

Sherry Richardson
