Southeast Conference

               Southeast Conference is a private membership organization that works to advance the collective interests of the people, communities, and businesses of Southeast Alaska.

               We encourage anyone who is concerned with the future of our region to join with us in building strong economies, healthy communities and a quality environment in Southeast Alaska.

               Our membership is composed of local governments, native tribes, businesses, and individuals as well as state agencies, visitor bureaus and chambers of commerce interested in the economic well-being of our region. Our membership also includes many Southeast economic development agencies, non-profits, utilities, businesses, and concerned citizens.

                We invite you to become a member of Southeast Conference today. Visit our website for forms, information, and a listing of programs that have been accomplished with help from members of our organization.  http://seconference.org/

Membership to Southeast Conference

                   Members are invited to attend our annual fall meetings, as well as our Mid-Session Summit in the spring, where policy is set and organizational direction is defined for the coming year. Many topics of vital interest are discussed, and speakers address our primary issues. Each member has a vote on matters brought to our business meeting. Members can also participate in our various committees throughout the year, which accomplish the bulk of our work on various issues.

                     It's your chance to join with the committed members of our regional community in shaping our future. Members in good standing are also allowed access to our organization resources, such as our reports library, and the members only Internet mailing list, where we distribute newsletters, discussion groups on current issues and more.

                      Please consider adding your voice to those of your friends and neighbors working toward improvements for the Southeast Alaska Region.

Members of Southeast Conference will receive the following services:

  • Access to the web site full of current information on projects and issues affecting Southeast communities;
  • Access to office resources, including studies, assistance, referrals, and grant resources;
  • Opportunity to provide input and serve on a committee;
  • Opportunity to submit resolutions for consideration by the board and general membership.
  • Placement of your listing on our Links & Regional Information Sources web page
  • Receive the Southeast Conference monthly newsletter, published electronically on the 15th of each month.

 Wildlife Viewing Tours Available

               Tours available on Prince of Wales Island, during our Southeast Conference Annual Meeting in September. Book your tour now!

                 The tours will start on Monday, September 24th, at 10am, with Kathy Peavey. This Alaska Naturalist is offering "Harbor Tours" where you can capture a glimpse of Craig from a comfortable 22 foot Hewescraft.  Take a ride around Fish Egg Island, look for whales and otter.  Have a light snack and enjoy a fun time with the informative local who is passionate about the beauty of Alaska's wilderness.

Sponsorship Opportunities

             We invite you to be a sponsor of Southeast Conference and help us support activities that promote strong economies, healthy communities, and a quality environment in Southeast Alaska.

            Annual sponsors receive recognition at both the Mid-Session Summit and the Annual Meeting, as well as on our website. Sponsorships are opportunities to advertise and build name recognition in the Southeast communities. Annual Sponsors support special projects that SEC members choose to accomplish. For example, the modeling project we are currently working on with McDowell Group.

            To participate, call our office (907) 523-4353 or visit our website - click here
