Chilin'  in the Spirit: Being Refreshed in God's Love
This two week mini-series will highlight the essential role of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and provide ways for the disciple of Christ to experience ongoing spiritual refreshment through the hills and valleys of life.  A perfect remedy for those summertime blues!

Mission to Guatemala
Registration is NOW OPEN
COTHA is teaming with Living Water International to drill a water well in the highlands area of Guatemala. The trip is November 13-20, 2010. Cost is $1,700 per person and includes airfare, food, lodging and transportation in country. Join the team by registering online at

Community Outreach Ministry
Now collecting for Children's Activity bags
New COTHA ministry serving Katy in a variety of ways is tackling their first project - making 1500 children's activity bags for Breath of Life clinic. Donations of sandwich size Ziploc bags, Crayons, wrapped lollipops, stickers, plastic ring, and similar favors will be greatly appreciated. Items are still needed!!! We will be making bags on Saturday July 31 beginning at 9:30 a.m. and Monday, August 2, beginning at 7 p.m.  Join us in this random act of love for our community.
 
Pasta with the Pastor
Sunday, July 25 at noon

Visitors are invited to join Associate Pastor Bill Blomquist and the staff for a potluck lunch after the 10:30 a.m. service to get to know us better and find out more about this wonderful church.

Summer Book Club

Diane Russell leads a discussion on The Year of Living Biblically by A.J. Jacobs, who endeavored to obey Old and New Testament commands in order to learn first-hand what effect this would have on his life. Books are on sale in foyer for $12.00.

Everyday Parents CAN Raise Extraordinary Kids is coming to Katy area this summer. The event is hosted by Katy Children's Pastors Alliance and will be at First Baptist Katy. Tickets are $20 per person or $30 per couple.

Mission to Mexico
August 6 - 7, 2010
Teams will assist in setting up for Saturday's distributions. Schedules permitting, we will stay in Laredo Saturday evening to have dinner, relaxation and fellowship before returning to Katy on Sunday morning. Traveling back on Saturday night is also an option. Items need for this trip are
Cash donations to help purchase school supplies; gently worn sheets and towels to make cooling rags; and over the counter pain medications and vitamins.
