Chamber Business After Hours big success!
ReMax Rewards & Prodigy Insurance hosted the Chamber After Hours Networking on Feb. 23rd in their new offices in the Raymark A/C bui lding. Co-Sponsors for the event were Raymark Air Conditioning & Heating and Rhino Financial Mortgage. We had a great turn out and wonderful food in spite of the cold rainy weather. Participants enjoyed snacks and beverages after work while making some new business contacts.

EMCID announces Directors Election
Four director positions are up for re-election on May 8th. Interested persons may pick up the application paperwork at the EMCID office. The deadline to file as a candidate is March 8th.
EMCID working on bringing Baseball Stadium to EMC
The EMCID Board ratified a Memorandum of Understanding between the district, Wallace Bajjali Development Partners, LP and Ventura Sports Group. This project would bring a new independent league baseball team and stadium to EMC. We are very excited about this great new attraction coming to our area and will have more details as the project moves forward.

On Jan 30th the Chamber welcomed new member Northwood Memorial Funeral Services with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
LJA Engineering, Inc. Omar Escobar has recently been promoted to Director of Project Development for LJA. Omar will be working with both the West and East Houston offices of LJA, concentrating on the development of new projects and the marketing of the firm's services to both the public and private sectors in the Greater Houston area.

Chamber Invites Vendors to Taste/Expo Deadline to reserve booth March 8th
The Community Chamber of Commerce is inviting local businesses, health care service providers, restaurants and caterers to participate in the Consumer Health & Business Expo with a Taste of East Montgomery County.

The event is being held Wednesday March 24th between 4 and 7 pm at the Yellow Rose Reception Hall in New Caney.

Vendors may showcase their business with a non-food booth.

Vendors that are a food booth may showcase their business while offering bite size samples of their food to the public.
- Your 10x10 booth space will be furnished with a 6' table and two chairs.

Food Booths must be able to provide bite-size samples for at least 300 people.

Vendors are encouraged to dress the part and decorate their booth according to our "Texas" theme.

Your participation automatically enters you into the Golden Chef Award contest. This award is judged based on food, booth decor & team spirit. Only those providing food in their booth will be eligible for the golden chef award.

All vendors are encouraged to offer product samples, literature, demonstrations, screenings, raffles or door prizes.

Craft vendors, food concessions, historical displays, quilt show, old timey pictures, live music on the grandstand outdoors, carnival games, giant slide, moon walk, rock climbing wall, petting zoo, and tournament competitions - sack races, bucket relays, water polo and more.
