A Message from Stuart
 
There are many "you's". There is the body you. There is the thought you. There is the spirit you.There is the happy you. There is the sad you. There is the you we all love. There is the you we just can't love. How about the adventursome you. And there is the shy you too. As I said, there are many, many you's. In fact, there are an infinite number of you's. In each moment, you exist as a unique "you". So your "you's" are always busy being born and busy dying. That is because there actually is no core "you". There are only shades of "you" blowing in the wind like clouds across a sunlit sky on a blustery winter's day. We all assemble our individual pieces of "youness" like photographs in a family album and make up a story of who we are. But, in reality, you are so much more than your mind will ever be capable of imagining.

Welcome to the American Buddha Newsletter for January 2009. This Month, I will be addressing a wide range of subjects including Oneness, Enlightenment, the Presence and the Illusion of personal creation. The American Buddha was created as a vehicle to dispense information regarding the true nature of the Awakened experience and its practical benefits in the modern world. Questions and Answers 
  
Q) How can I become a channel for the Divine? Why do I feel so much resistance to this desire?
 
A) The Divine Intelligence desperately wants to enter this world through the vehicle of our Nervous Systems. It literally wants to pour through every fiber of our brain's neural networks. What is it that creates resistance to the Divine entering this world?  First, we have a lifetime of stresses which have clogged our nerves with impurities. Second, we have accumulated lifetimes of karmas which tend to attract nerve disrupting, genetically based, behaviors in this life. Third, there are limitations posed by the very fact that we are Human. For instance, the incessant nature of the human thinking process interferes with being able to connect to the Divine without distractions. Finally, the fickle mood of the laws of Nature causes the Divine to select one nervous system over another as a channel to enter this world for reasons known only to the Divine.
 
Q) What is the relationship of Oneness to manifest creation?
 
A) Oneness is creation herself. The terms are inseparable. When we say creation, we are actually saying creation of Oneness. Now, five elements make up this creation. They are: earth, water, fire air, and space. These elements link the One to the many. If we were able to view these elements in their essential form, their reality would become immediately apparent. We would see that each element gave birth to the other.  Earth gave birth to water. Water gave birth to fire, Fire gave birth to air and air gave birth to space. Now, man is made up of all of these five elements in such a way that he can bring his nature back to the One. Man is the link between Oneness and manifest creation. So, for Oneness to become apparent in manifest creation, man would need to become a channel for Oneness to flow into the diversity. There will come a time when the Oneness will become visible to all mankind along with the diversity. We should all pray for that day.
 
Q) How can we learn to experience Oneness?
 
A) Let me tell you a secret. Every object in creation has an archetypal significance. Every object has a very specific form, color, texture, smell, and weight that SPEAKS of the Oneness in a very symbolic manor. To experience an object at this symbolic level would be very helpful to us because we would instantly know how to use that object for its maximum Life-supporting effect. All objects sing a song. Grace is that which allows us to hear the song.
 
Q) Did I create you or did you create me?  How does this work?
 
(This is a beautiful question from a client. The answer applies to anyone who wishes to work with me.)
 
A) Remember, there is actually no you or I so there is no issue of who created our upcoming meeting. This is the Creator's dream only. We are living the Creator's agenda. Every breath and every thought we have during our meeting will be perfectly orchestrated for the good of the WHOLE. So our meeting will be good for you, good for me, and good for the WHOLE as well. This meeting was never our personal creation. Remember, our thoughts are not ours, our bodies run by themselves and our personalities pass by like ships in the night. It is an anomaly of human brain function that makes us believe that we are in control of our meeting. This is Cosmic destiny! But this idea is supremely threatening to our"I" sense. The simplest way to see me is that I am that part of your dream that seeks to connect you to your Original dreamer.  I can take you deeply into all of this when we meet. This will be great fun for you. But I want to cushion all we do in the Divine Grace of the Oneness Blessing. Otherwise, my answers will be just words.  
 
In return, I only ask three things from you:
 
1) An Openness to travel beyond what your mind can even conceive of as possible
 
2)  The innocence of a child will be necessary
 
3) A Heart-felt Gratitude to the Presence, to Sri Amma and Sri Bhagavan, to all of your teachers, both past and present, for everything that you are about to experience

I also want to let all of my dear friends know that I have decided to take my "Brain, Grace and Spiritual Technologies" one and two day workshops on the road throughout the U.S. beginning in February 2009. It has always been my intention to present a workshop combining the cutting edge of our knowledge of the function of the brain with the ages old knowledge about the nature of Divine Grace and the Spiritual Technologies of the Indian Rishis. And, in the presentation, I always intended to combine this knowledge, both Ancient and Modern, with a powerful direct experience of Divine Grace through the Oneness Blessing as well as through a unique variety of Ancient Spiritual Technologies. This way, the participants would receive a synergistic combination of both deep knowledge and profound experience.
