Vancouver, BC - January 10th, 2012 The nationwide search for Mr. Gay Canada is set to take place in Whistler, BC as part of a reality television series on
OUTtv. Six delegates have been selected for this year's competition beginning on Thursday, February 9th thru to Saturday February 11th, which coincides with the annual
WinterPRIDE festival. Many of the competition's challenges have been integrated into some of the festival's events starting with the introduction of the delegates at the
WinterPRIDE Pool Party presented by Holiday Inn Resort Aruba at Whistler's Meadow Park sportsplex.
The Mr. Gay Canada Competition is a 3-day, indoor/outdoor series of events to help our judges identify a strong role model to help build awareness of homophobia in our communities and to help create safer, more inclusive spaces for all people. The competition includes physical tests and interviews with a panel of judges. The winner of the competition will receive an all expenses paid trip to Johannesburg, South Africa, in April 2012, to represent Canada in the
Mr. Gay World Competition.
