Greetings from Whistler!
Wow, where did the summer go?! We have now fallen into autumn and with that we are seeing fresh dustings of snow up on Whistler and the mountain air continues to become a bit more crisp as we get closer to the start of this year's winter season.
We are so excited as it looks like Princess La Nina will be back and bringing with her another epic snow season and for the first time in recent memory our glaciers have actually advanced this year - all making for the perfect way to celebrate our 20th Annual Gay Ski Week with you!

WinterPRIDE hosts the annual Mr Gay Canada Competition
 The annual Mr Gay Canada competition will be held from Thursday February 9th to Sunday February 12th during WinterPRIDE. The Mr Gay Canada competition will provide an opportunity for young gay men to make a 'difference' and be leaders in their own communities. Through education and public performances, MGC's goal is to help create positive, authentic and empowered role models that will be a champion for Gay Human Rights. Through these public performances, outreach and education, MGC will raise awareness of issues pertinent to young gay men, such as safe sex awareness, bullying and self-acceptance. Many of the MGC competition will take place during WinterPRIDE events. Have a chance to meet and encourage the delegates while they compete in various challenges including a photo challenge, sports challenge, fashion show/run way challenge, swim suit challenge, and public speaking. If you or someone you know would like to be a delegate, apply by downloading the application. All applications must be in by November 30th 2011.
