Chris Winspear Design Jewellers creates custom Mr. Gay World Jewellery
Internationally renowned, South African native, designs five exquisite Mr. Gay World championship dog tags for the 3rd Annual competition in Manila.
Sydney, Australia - February 17, 2011 - Mr. Gay World has partnered with Chris Winspear Design Jewellers to offer the top five delegates of the third annual competition in Manila, Philippines March 9-14, 2011, custom memento jewelry to celebrate their achievement in promoting positive role model in the gay community and being a champion of equal rights and freedoms.
Chris Winspear reflects, "The military of the Phillipines has played a large part in the colourful history and culture of this nation. The finalists of the Mr Gay World Pageant have had to become stronger in both physical and mental aspects, much like a soldier. In order to incorporate these themes into a piece of jewelery I took inspiration from the military and designed stylised dog tags."
Winspear continues, "the inspiration behind this is that each of the runner up pieces are a fragment of the final winner's piece, in the same way that the runners up themselves support and make up the pageant which ultimately has one overall winner. Each stylised element of the dog tag for the runners up, contains one of the colours of the Philippines flag. The winner's dog tag will be a complete dag tag and it contains all the colours of the Phillipines flag." Eric Butter, President of Mr. Gay World echos Winspear's inspiration, "we are very proud of the quest each of the delegates have taken to be joining us in Manila for the third annual competition. The custom dog tags will be a wonderful reminder to the 2011 Mr. Gay World and his runner ups of the journey they have taken and of the journey they have yet to take. It is our hope that the friendships made will help each delegate to be stronger in their own host nations."
The total value of the original designs is $8,000.00 AUS.

Mr. Gay World 2011 - Manila, Philippines (March 9-14, 2011)
 Ms Noemi Alberto is the Mr. Gay World 2011 Executive Producer for the host city of Manila, Philippines. Ms. Alberto has been part of the Mr. Gay World Board of Directors since their inception in 2009 and is currently the Director of Asia.
