Thank you for volunteering as a ski guide which was such a big part of the magic of the 2009 WinterPRIDE festival. Your combined efforts helped to maintain the festival's #1 Gay Ski Week in the World as voted by PlanetOUT/Gay.com as well as the #1 Lesbian Welcoming Ski Week in the World as bestowed upon us by the editors of Out Traveler.
For 2010, we are thrilled to share with you this year's theme: "Let the Games Begin!" as this year GayWhistler gets to bath in the after glow of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games making history by being the first festival to straddle both the Olympics and the Paralympic Games. March 1-8, 2010 the New Dates for WinterPRIDE.
We are excited to welcome back for our second year the "Never Roam Alone - Travelocity Ski Guides." We are still working on some details and once everything is finalized we will be sure to share with you!
For the past year, Ingrid Walker and Margaret Smith headed up WinterPRIDE's ski guiding program and have been your passinate leaders. Sadly, for this coming season, Ingrid has other committments and won't be able to return - something about being put in charge of patrolling Canadian Waters in a battle ship for the Olympics! Thank you Ingrid for all your hard work and all you have done to upgrade and improve the program. You rock.
Also, Margaret will be taking the year off with her partner, Kerri. We are going to miss Margaret on the hill this year, for the past four years we have continued to see improvements on the program and could not have done it without your zest for the sport.
The good news is that we have our returning super keener - John Sutherland to pick up where the girls have left off and continue to transform the ski program to the legendary experiences our guests are raving about! Please welcome back John as Director of the "Never Roam Alone-Travelocity Ski Guides"! He is so excited to be able to ski/ride with everyone again!

Volunteer Coupons |
We anticipate we will be using a similar system last year on the volunteer coupon program including the volunteer wrap brunch at the end of the week. Just a reminder: WinterPRIDE is March 1-8, 2010 which is a Monday to Monday time frame (due to Olympic Timing). More details to come this coming Septemeber. |
